Every Sunday morning, while most of Delhi is still waking up, a small corner near Shastri Park comes alive with laughter, colors, and chalk dust.
This is Masti Ki Pathshala, an open-air classroom where learning doesn’t begin with textbooks but with curiosity and play.

Last weekend, our volunteers gathered under the shade of a large banyan tree, armed with whiteboards, crayons, and endless energy. The children greeted us with wide smiles, ready to dive into another day of stories, songs, and numbers. This week’s lesson? Counting fruits using real ones donated by a local vendor.

“I like school here because we get to play and learn together,” said Meena, a 9-year-old who has been attending since the program started. Her excitement is contagious, and before we know it, the volunteers are singing along with her.

The session ended with a shared snack of bananas and biscuits, a small but meaningful gesture that keeps the children coming back week after week.
